Special General Meeting

The University of Queensland Tennis Club Inc. (UQ Tennis Club) will be holding a Special General Meeting to amend the Club’s Constitution on Turesday, 7 October, at 9 p.m., following the completion of Tuesday Night Fixtures.

This meeting was originally scheduled to be held at 6 p.m. on Sunday, 28 September, 2025, but was not able to go ahead as a quorum was not achieved.

The meeting will be held in the Tennis Pavilion, Blair Drive, The University of Queensland St Lucia Campus.

The main changes are to:
Reduce the size of the Management Committee
Change the financial year from the calendar year (January to December) to the 12-month period from 1 July to 30 June in the following year
Have just an Annual General Meeting (for financial reporting & elections) instead of two general meetings (an Annual General Meeting and an Elections General Meeting)
Adopt grievance provisions that are now mandatory under the Associations Incorporation Act
