The UQ Tennis Club's 2020 Tournament Program continues with the Super Spring Night Tournament...

As of 24 March 2020, by order of UQ & UQ Sport, all UQ Tennis Club programs were cancelled because of the COVID-19 crisis.

Tennis at UQ is now coming out of the COVID-19 lockdown.

Applications for 2020 Second Semester Fixtures are now open.

Fixtures is weekly team-based competiton.

Fixtures are run by the UQ Tennis Club on Monday and Thursday nights. Brisbane Night Tennis Association (BNTA) also runs Fixtures on Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday nights and Saturday afternoons. The formats vary, with some being mixed competitions and others gender-neutral.

In order to play fixtures, you must become a member the UQ tennis Club. Membership of UQ Sport is no longer required for joining the UQ Tennis Club. The entry form also doubles as a Membership application form.

How to join

Download and fill in the Membership and Fixtures Application (see side bar).

Please note that the fees for each fixture are for the entire season, not per week, and do vary between the different options. Entries must be lodged by the closing date as there is usually very little time for us to organise times and make the draw before the season starts.

If you have not played for the UQ Tennis Club before you will have to come to a grading session. Times and dates are on the entry form (Page 1, under the fixture information). This ensures that teams are made up with players of same standard and makes play more enjoyable for all. If you feel you have improved after some time, you can always come to another grading. We also keep statistics on how you perform during the season and use this to update your grading.

Please fill out the back of the form (Page 2) as completely as possible. A working e-mail address really helps as we send out 'e-updates' during the season to remind you of events. Mobile phone and work phone numbers help your team captain organise the team each week.
