July Ace of the Month

To recognize the work of the volunteers who make all the UQ Tennis Club’s programs possible, the Club has introduced the Ace of the Month Award. 

The inaugural Ace of the Month Award was presented to David Kimber at the June Social Tennis BBQ.

The July Ace of the Month is Gabby Torbey.  Vice-President, Rebecca Warner, presented the award to Gabby at Ladies’ Sunday Morning Social Tennis on 13 July.

Gabby received an Award Certificate, a HEAD pack (backpack, balls & overgrips) and some free Social Tennis passes.  Gabby has been the main organizer of the Sunday Morning Ladies’ Social Tennis & the Ladies’ Doubles Tournament and organized the Club’s First Semester Welcome Party.

Each month, the Club will spotlight a standout volunteer who's gone above and beyond for the UQ Tennis Club - whether it's helping run events, supporting teammates, or just bringing great energy to the court.
