Brisbane International

The Brisbane International will be played at the Queensland Tennis Centre (Tennyson) from 30 December to 6 January.

This is your chance to see some of the World’s best players in live action. 

The line-up for the Women’s Championships is phenomenal with 8 of the World Top 10 competing [1. Victoria Azarenka (BLR), 2. Maria Sharapova (RUS), 3. Serena Williams (USA), 5. Angelique Kerber (GER), 6. Sara Errani (ITA), 8. Petra Kvitova (CZE), 9. Samantha Stosur (AUS) & 10. Caroline Wozniacki (DEN)].

The big attraction in the Men’s event is Andy Murray (World No. 3).  Other top 20 players are Milos Raonic (13), Alexandr Dolgopolov (18) and Kei Nishikori (19).  Other well-known players are Florian Mayer (28), Jurgen Melzer (30), Radek Stepanek (31), Marcos Baghdatis (36), Tommy Robredo (50) and Lleyton Hewitt (82).

The Brisbane International Men’s event is competing for players with the Qatar ExxonMobil Open in Doha whereas the Brisbane International Women’s event is the major WTA Tour tournament in the first week of 2013.
