Autumn Doubles Tournament Results

It was all action on Saturday night, 26 April, with a record 76 players competing in the Club's Autumn Night Series Doubles Tournament.

The previous record was 42 players, set in 2019 & 2022

The gods were smiling on the Club that night as there was heavy rain in Indooroopilly, Taringa & Toowong and halfway along Sir Fred Schonell Drive, but not a drop at UQ; and then problems with all the new lights not coming on initially. Thankfully, everything was sorted in time for play to start at 6 p.m.

The event winners were Albert Ge & Michael Lenz (Open Men), Thanh Dao & Jim Peng (A Grade Men), Christeen Spencer & Ashley Wilkinson (A Grade Ladies), Finn Braatz & Max Ward (B Grade Men), Emily Hewitt & Chelsea Palmer (B Grade Ladies), Peter Lawrence & Alan Lin (C Grade Men) and Tanya Myint & Shilpa Selvaraj (C Grade Ladies).

The Lucky Prize Draw winners were Tim Page, Simon Absolon, Peter Chai, Sami Braatz, Darcy Tantanis and Gabrielle Torbey.
