Check the 'Team Selection Policies' here or on the membership/fixtures application form.  Teams will not be formed with the bare minimum of palyers needed (unless there is a shortage of players of the appropriate standard).  Normally, Thursday Pairs teams will consist of 3 players with 2 playing each week (i.e. each player should play 2 out of 3 weeks).

N.B. In addition to the Membership/Fixtures application form, players under 17 years of age must also complete the Junior Membership Declaration whch can be downloaded here.

Special Note:  During 2020, work was supposed to begin on the construction of UQ’s new $65M Health & Recreation Centre which was to open in 2022.  To make way for this development, UQ intended to demolish the Tennis Pavilion and the five main courts at the Tennis Centre which would have a huge impact on Tennis at UQ.  At this stage, demolition of the courts is not expected to happen until after the completion of Second Semester Fixtures, if at all.  However, if demolition of the courts begins earlier than expected, there may have to be format changes in some competitions mid season to accommodate teams on significantly less courts.
